Little Girl Update

Hello everyone. I just wanted to post a few pics and update on the little girl coming this fall.

My c-section is already scheduled for October 20th. My official due date is Oct. 21st. So, we are ready to go one day early. The nurse was so funny when she called me to fill me in on the surgery date/time. She felt so bad that it was not going to be much earlier. They will schedule anytime in the 39th week but the operating room and the docs were not available.

I giggle to myself as I know that this baby will come when she is ready and although it is nice to have a firm date/time, it does not mean much to me. I had Carson (induced without progression, then an emergency C-section) at 38 weeks. Fin (C-section) at 37 weeks due to preeclampsia. The thought of going to 39 weeks and 6 days seems like a giant goal. So, far I am feeling great and show no signs of complications. Maybe we will just make it!!!

Today I am officially 23 weeks and 1 day. Yes, that 1 days counts! I can't believe that over half of this pregnancy is over. Now that the morning sickness is over, it is going by pretty fast. Granted, there are two other small children that need me and keep me busy. There is not much rest but I am trying to get better at that. I try to lay down for an hour in the afternoon. Ms. Nicole is a huge help with this. I lay Fin down for a nap and then just rest in my room for a little while. It makes such a difference and gives me the energy I need for the rest of the day.

I am happy to announce that I have only gained 3 lbs. My doc said it is not even significant enough to address. Little girl weighs 1 lb at this point so, I am thrilled to be going into these last weeks feeling good. Don't worry, being that I was a bit fluffy (ha, ha) to start, there is no need for me to gain a bunch of weight. Actually, I am better off without it! That is not to say that it wont or can't come but I should stay well behind what I gained with both boys. This of course, also decreases my chances of complications in the end as well.

I love, love, love shopping for her. I have not gone crazy but have picked up a few things here and there. The deals are the best because it is last year's stuff and usually marked down a ton. I have no idea when we will do her room. Fin still sleeps in there and I am not ready to move him out. I would not at all be surprised if she is here with us before we get to it. Third babies get the shaft!

I know that she will be sleeping in our room for a while. Fin was well over six months old when he moved to his room and that was only because, I loved snuggling with him. Yes, we did co-sleeping with Fin. I do not plan on it for little girl but will base that decision on what her needs are. Fin wanted that and we both slept really well. I loved that time of bonding with him. We will see if she is an independent like her brother Carson or a lover like her brother Fin.

22.3 weeks

Thanks for checking in. The boys are great and we are enjoying summer (now that it has finally arrived). Carson is very busy but I am trying to plan some fun activities so we don't spend our entire summer at this therapy clinic.
